Greg Brown and Bo Ramsey capped off a fun day one of Iowa Arts Festival with an evening concert on Friday in downtown Iowa City. The festival continued on Saturday with food, performances, arts, and family activities.

Not that I forgot, but the start of Arts Fest on Friday definately reminded me how much fun Iowa City is in the summer. Outdoor live music in downtown Iowa City. Artists from around the region. Patio dining. Great weather. An eclectic row of venders including and the .

Plus, for me, listening to Greg Brown live on stage will help make this year's festival stand out. I don't recall seeing so many people packed in to hear the opening night concert.

Greg Brown performed with Bo Ramsey, who also served as an opening act with Pieta Brown and the Pines. The whole crew came out for a This Little Light of Mine encore that I wish I had recorded.
