Survivor to Headline University of Iowa Homecoming in Iowa City

The 1980s rock band Survivor will perform at UI on Friday, Oct. 21.

students and Iowa City residents can tease their hair, pull out their old jean jackets and don their best leather chaps because 1980s rock band Survivor will be performing as part of this year's UI Homecoming festivities.

The concert is on Friday, Oct. 21 and is free for all. In past years, the concert has been on the Pentacrest.

The event is confirmed on the Survivor and the Iowa Memorial Union websites.

The 2011 Homecoming King and Queen will be crowned after the parade and then Survivor will perform.

Survivor may be best know for its 1982 hit song "Eye of the Tiger," which was the theme song for Rocky III. They also play "Burning Heart," "High on You," and "I Can't Hold Back."
