The Iowa City Fencing Center, founded by Judy O'Donnell in 2010, is a venue for recreational and competitive fencing. The center serves children and adult newcomers and experienced fencers. Members can register for group classes, one-on-one training, introductory seminars and summer and winter camps. The center also provides all necessary equipment (except for fencers who enter competitions, who must use their own equipment). The facility’s air-conditioned interior features Olympic-quality floors and practice areas. All three main types of fencing are supported and practiced here: foil, epee and saber.
