All of your favorite characters are here in Disney's Aladdin, Jr., a stage adaptation of the Disney hit film. Filled with magic, mayhem, and flying carpet rides, audiences' spirits will soar with excitement. Most of all, the tuneful, Academy award-winning score with songs including "A Whole New World" and "Friend Like Me" will certainly make this musical a favorite for many years to come!

4. Saturday Night Concert Series:  Surf Zombies

"The Surf Zombies play fast, crazy surf instrumentals, successfully straddling the line between alternative underground, retro and kid-friendly fun. A Surf Zombies show is some combination of a Saturday morning cartoon, beach party and hotrod convention. The savage jungle rhythms, the swirling tremolo of the dueling guitars and the authentic growl of vintage tube amps make for a truly weird Midwestern wonder."---Legion Arts

5. Saturday Night Movie on the Pentacrest: Monsters Inc., Rated G; 92 minutes; 2001
Pre-movie performance by Iowa City Fencing

Sat, August 17, 2013
Doors: 7:30 pm / Show: 8:00 pm (event ends at 10:00 pm)
$12.00 - $40.00

With his rough-hewn voice and laid-back Midwestern charm, Lee DeWyze won over millions of viewers as a contestant and eventual winner of the ninth season of American Idol. An accomplished singer, guitarist, and songwriter who had already built a following on the Chicago club scene by the time he auditioned for Idol, DeWyze dis- plays his true nature as an artist on his major-label debut Live It Up. The title track captures the easy-going sprit of the album — a breezy blend of rootsy pop, rock, and folk, anchored by DeWyze's soulful, husky voice and bright-sounding acoustic guitar.
