VIDEO: Meet Snickers, Iowa City Patch's Adopt this Pet of the Week (ADOPTED)

Every Saturday, Patch.com will feature an animal from the Iowa City Animal Care and Adoption Shelter that is in need of a good home. In this week's installment, meet Snickers, a young, gregarious dog who needs an active owner.

Liz Ford, animal care technician as the Iowa City Animal Shelter, introduces us to Snickers, a young hound that is full of energy. Ford says that while Snickers is very kind and loves people, she also had a load of energy, and would therefore be a perfect match for an owner who is willing to exercise her often. She said Snickers is going through obedience training now at the shelter and with this foundation she will be able to continue to learn.

For more information on adopting Snickers, you can call the Animal Shelter at: (319) 356-5295. Or visit the shelter at 4852 Sand Rd SE.
