VIDEO: Meet Pepe, Iowa City Patch's Adopt this Pet of the Week (ADOPTED)

Every Saturday, Patch.com features an animal from the Iowa City Animal Care and Adoption Shelter that is in need of a good home. In this week's installment, meet Pepe, a social cat who is extremely friendly, even if he's not fond of being picked up.

This week, Calista Hospodarsky, a volunteer at the Iowa City Animal Shelter, introduces us to Pepe, a black and white cat who is social and friendly if he can approach you on his own terms. Hospodarsky said Pepe would likely get along with a variety of families, including families with dogs. Although Pepe is very laid back, it should be noted that he is not fond of being picked up, and would prefer rubbing against your legs and receiving pets.

For more information on adopting Pepe you can call the Animal Shelter at: (319) 356-5295. Or visit the shelter at 4852 Sand Rd SE.
