VIDEO: Meet Miss Lilly, a Great Guinea Pig for Adopt a Guinea Pig Month, Iowa City Patch Adopt this Pet of the Week (ADOPTED)

Each week Iowa City Patch profiles a new animal from the Iowa City Animal Shelter who is in need of a good home. This week we meet Miss Lilly, a pretty long-haired guinea pig.

This week Misha Goodman, director of the Iowa City Animal Shelter, introduces us to Miss Lilly the guinea pig. Goodman says Miss Lilly is a great little guinea pig that will need some patience from its owner as it gets acclimated to its new home. It also happens to be National Adopt a Rescued Guinea Pig month, so you can do your part to celebrate that event that you probably didn't know about before I just told you.

For more information on adopting Miss Lilly you can call the Animal Shelter at: (319) 356-5295. Or visit the shelter at 4852 Sand Rd SE.
