VIDEO: Meet Lydia, Patch.com's Adopt this Pet of the Week (Adopted)

Every Saturday, Patch.com will feature an animal from the Iowa City Animal Care and Adoption Shelter that is in need of a good home. In this week's installment, meet Lydia, a friendly lap cat.

Jackie Wieczorek, a volunteer at the Iowa City Animal Shelter, introduces us to Lydia the cat.  Wieczorek says Lydia is friendly black cat who doesn't mind at all if you lift her up or plop her down on your lap. This laid back nature makes her an excellent lap cat candidate.

Wieczorek said that Lydia is one of many fine black cats at the Iowa City Animal Shelter at the moment that need a good home, including , the first cat we featured.

For more information on adopting Lydia, you can call the Animal Shelter at: (319) 356-5295. Or visit the shelter at 4852 Sand Rd SE.
