VIDEO: Meet Gabby, Iowa City Patch's Adopt this Pet of the Week

Every Saturday we feature another animal at the Iowa City Animal Shelter who is need of a good home. This week, we meet Gabby, a grey tabby with a sashay to her stride and a loving attitude -- unless you pick her up.

This week, Willa Hamilton, Iowa City Animal Services Officer at the Iowa City Animal Shelter, introduces us to Gabby, a grey cat who is social, warm and friendly if she can approach you on her own terms. Hamilton says Gabby is a loving lap cat, who loves to sashay around the room and greet people with loving head butts. For this reason Hamilton says Gabby is one of the favorite cats at the shelter. Gabby does not, however, enjoy being picked up, and would much rather curl up in your lap at her own convenience.

For more information on adopting Gabby you can call the Animal Shelter at: (319) 356-5295. Or visit the shelter at 4852 Sand Rd SE.
