(VIDEO) Meet Chiquita Bonita, a Cat Saved from the Cold Last Winter That Needs a Warm Home

Each week we introduce you to a new animal at the Iowa City Animal Shelter that needs a new home. This week meet Chiquita Bonita, a young cat saved from a cold fate this past winter.

This week, Willa Hamilton, Iowa City Animal Services Officer at the , introduces us to a young cat named Chiquita Bonita. Hamilton says she rescued Chiquita from a snow bank this past winter. After recovering from the frostbite and regaining some weight, Chiquita is ready to be adopted.

Hamilton said Chiquita Bonita is a friendly young cat that behaves and looks a little like a kitten even though she's more than a year old. Her only lasting damage is some lasting disfigurment to her ear, but besides that she will make a fine fit in a variety of homes, Hamilton said.

For more information on adopting Chiquita you can call the Animal Shelter at: (319) 356-5295. Or visit the shelter at 4852 Sand Rd SE.
