Meet Dottie the Sweethearted Hound Mix: Iowa City Adopt this Pet of the Week

Here's another animal from the Iowa City Animal Care and Adoption Shelter that is in need of a good home. In this week's installment, meet Dottie, a kind adult hound-mix who would be a great fit for multiple homes.

Liz Ford, animal care technician as the Iowa City Animal Shelter, introduces us this week to Dottie the hound mix, affectionately known at the shelter as "Dot" for the many dots she has on her face. Ford says Dottie is an adult dog with a great temperament who would be a perfect fit for multiple households. She said Dottie and a family's cats likely would have to become used to one another but she expected that would work out fine. She also said that Dottie has a tendency to bark to tell her owners what she wants, so she would benefit from additional training to limit this to appropriate situations and to further the bond between her and her new owners.

For more information on adopting Dottie, you can call the Animal Shelter at: (319) 356-5295. Or visit the shelter at 4852 Sand Rd SE.
