Feline Overload at Animal Shelter: Half Price on Adult Cats

The Iowa City Animal Shelter is running a limited time deal on cat adoptions to clear out a surplus of their feline friends.

I spoke with Charlotte Tobiason, program director at the Iowa City Animal Shelter, about the shelter's abundance of cats right now due to a variety of different circumstances. To alleviate this deal, Tobiason says the shelter is running a half off deal on cats at or above the age of one to help free up space.

From the Iowa City Shelter's Facebook Page on July 1:

The Center is full of cats and kittens (even ignoring the 23+ cats that were impounded on Friday), so if you have been thinking of adopting a cat or kitten, now is the time to do it. We have a variety of ages, types and personalities, and besides getting a new forever friend, each adoption frees up a place for the new arrivals.
