This week's Party in the Park will be held at Hunter's Run Park on Duck Creek Drive on Thursday, August 8 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Events will include games, arts and crafts for the whole family, ice cream, and live music by Bob and Kristie Black, who will perform bluegrass and Midwestern roots music, as well as original tunes. There is no fee to participate, and the event is open to the public.
Party in the Park is sponsored by the City's Parks and Recreation Department and Neighborhood Services Division. Throughout the summer, a party is held each Thursday in a different Iowa City park. Take the opportunity to reconnect with old friends, make new ones, and enjoy the season with friends and family while exploring the City's many beautiful parks and facilities.
