Rivals.com has him as a three-star prospect, while ESPN pegs him as a four-star recruit and the No. 8 senior tight end in the nation.

Wisnieski chose Iowa over several BCS schools, including Nebraska, Iowa State, Kansas State, Purdue and Ole Miss.

"It was not only big for the Hawkeyes to keep a good player at home, but the top-10 TE is also a good fit. He needs to keep filling out his frame, but displays the tools to develop into a good, well-rounded tight end," writes Craig Haubert of Recruiting Nation.

At Iowa, Wisnieski could be among seven tight ends that fall, the Gazette reports.
