Oregon Beats Iowa in an Offensive Shootout in Second Round NIT Action: Caps a Disappointing Weekend for Iowa Sports

You know there are a lot of points scored when you score 97 in a losing effort.

The Iowa Hawkeyes basketball season has officially come to an end.

In a game with a blistering pace, Oregon was just as hot from the field, shooting 60 percent from the field for the game and over 70 percent for the second half, on the way to a 108 to 97 win over the Iowa Hawkeyes.

Iowa actually had a 15 point lead in the first half powered by the exception play of guard Devyn Marble, who finished with 31 points. But Oregon was able to cut the margin to four points by half time, and after taking the lead in the early part of the second half, took the lead and didn't look back.

Oregon also enjoyed a 32 to 15 free throw attempted disparity, and made 28 of those free thows.
