Roosevelt Elementary Building to be Used as District Education Center
The building will remain a part of the Iowa City School District's plans. For now.
The Roosevelt Elementary School building will have a new life within the Iowa City School District, as the Theodore Roosevelt Education Center.
They even gave it its own cool acronym, TREC.
Last month the Iowa City School Board put the potential rebidding for the now vacant elementary school building on hold after restrictions on the property, route: {:controller=>"articles", :action=>"show", :id=>"roosevelt-elementary-likely-to-be-put-up-for-bid-at-lower-restricted-amount"} --> requested by nearby residents brought the value of the property down
