Iowa City Police: Student Camp Goer's Claim of Sexual Assault Determined to be False

The Iowa City Police say they have come to believe that no assault ever occurred.

Last week it was reported that a high school student attending a journalism camp at the University of Iowa had been assaulted near downtown Iowa City.

It was later determined that the Iowa City Police were looking into the incident as a sexual assault due to the statements the student made.

Today the Iowa City Police reclassified the incident as something else entirely: fake.
