City High Student Semi Finalist in the National Achievement Scholarship Award

Congrats to Edgar Thornton on the achievement.

From City High School

The National Achievement® Scholarship Award was established in 1964 to provide recognition for outstanding Black American high school students. 1,600 students are selected from about 160,000 eligible students nationwide, based on outstanding PSAT scores.  A Semi-finalist must advance to Finalist standing in the competition by having a consistently high GPA, taking rigorous classes, participating and leading in community organizations and activities, submitting a personal statement, and receiving recommendations from their school.
