Rick Santorum Making July 'Thank You' Stops in Iowa City and Windsor Heights, Will Speak on Stem Cells in Coralville

Santorum, along with Bob Vander Plaats, plan to speak on ethical stem cell research at an Oakdale Research Park location in Coralville. He will also have a "thank you" dinner in Iowa City the day before.


Rick Santorum is making yet another visit to Iowa.

The former Pennsylvania senator bowed out of the Republican presidential race after in Iowa. Santorum has promised to stay active in politics, however, even campaigning for several Republicans in Iowa, including first district candidate Ben Lange.

Santorum's rise to prominence in Iowa came in no small part to his grass roots support after 99-county tour of the state.

On July 10, Santorum will be in Iowa City to have a "thank you" lunch at Bella Scala, with a event at Windsor Heights in the Des Moines area on July 11.

Santorum will also be in Coralville on July 11 to speak on stem cell research according to the Gazette:

The former Pennsylvania senator will speak on ethical stem cell research at the BioVenture Building in the Oakdale Research Park. Also on the program are Steve Scheffler and Kim Lehman, Iowa’s members of the Republican National Committee, and Bob Vander Plaats, president of The Family Leader.
