New Tuesday Farmers Market at Mercer Park in Iowa City

The new market will be held on Tuesdays from 3 to 6 p.m. at Mercer Park, beginning May 7 and continuing through October 29.

Iowa City will welcome another Farmers Market to town this spring, so that shoppers will have one more day each week to purchase fresh produce, baked goods, prepared foods, jewelry, gift items, and other products from their favorite farmers, bakers, and artisans. The new market will be held on Tuesdays from 3 to 6 p.m. at Mercer Park, beginning May 7 and continuing through October 29.

Mercer Park is located on Bradford Street (off of First Avenue), next to Southeast Junior High. The Mercer Park Farmers Market will be held in the parking lot directly north of the baseball fields, and will feature many favorite vendors from the Iowa City and Sycamore Mall Farmers Markets.

Vendors who are interested in participating are encouraged to register now for booth space. Application materials are posted on the City's website at www.icgov.org/neighborhoodservices. The application deadline is Friday, April 19.
