Local employer, website service provider Go Daddy, will be looking to fill 300 new jobs starting with a job fair this Thursday night in Cedar Rapids.

The Daily Iowan's Zachary Pound writes that an Iowa government shutdown on July 1 could also shutdown local daycares.

In the Iowa City Press-Citizen, Emily Schettler writes that FEMA dollars could be available for University of Iowa's campus recovery.

Also in the PC, a Mississippi man made a bad impression the other day after he vandalized a Cambus and headbutted an officer.

Gregg Hennigan from the Gazette writes that Johnson County Sheriff's Office employees will be getting a wage increase.

Also from Hennigan. Consultants tell the Iowa City Public Library that there is no need for a branch at this time.

The Gazette had some nice coverage of a local Juneteenth celebration, held at the Iowa Memorial Union.

William Petroski of the Des Moines Register writes that former Senator and potential presidential hopeful Rick Santorum considers himself a consistent conservative.
