Supervisor Neuzil Government and You Listening Post

(IOWA CITY IA) Terrence Neuzil, member of the Johnson County Board of Supervisors, will hold his “Government and You” Listening Posts in June at several locations throughout the County.  The hour-long listening posts provide residents an opportunity to discuss local, state and national government issues in an informal setting. In June, the Hot Topics Discussion will be on a Legislative re-cap. In this year’s Legislative session, a number of changes have taken place or were proposed that will or could have a dramatic impact on County governments across the State including: Mental Health and Adult Human Services, Tax Increment Financing, Property and Gas Taxes and changes to Emergency Management. Residents interested in learning more about these and other Legislative changes are encouraged to attend.
