Woman, 9-Months Pregnant, Allegedly Involved in Altercation and Charged with Public Intox: Iowa City Police Blotter, March 20

An Iowa City woman who allegedly told police she was 9-months pregnant was arrested for public intoxication after she was allegedly involved in an altercation with two men near the Sheraton Inn Sunday morning.
According to a criminal complaint, at 1:00 a.m. Sunday morning Danielle Marie Davis, 26, of Iowa City was reportedly found at 125 S. Dubuque Street "aggressively swinging" at a male, allegedly trying to hit him. Police placed Davis under arrest. Police say in the complaint that Davis appeared intoxicated, with blood-shot watery eyes and she smelled of ingested alcohol. Davis allegedly told officers that she had "a few beers."
According to the complaint, Davis was transported to the hospital so the baby could be put under observation before she was transported to jail.
