University of Iowa Sexual Assault Reported

University of Iowa Police received a third-party report yesterday that a female student had been sexually assaulted in a UI dorm over the weekend.

The University of Iowa Police received a report from a third-party yesterday, Aug. 23, that a female student had been sexually assaulted over the weekend in Daum Residence Hall.

In a news release, the university police stated that details on the incident are scarce and that they do not have enough "actionable information" to pursue an investigation at this time. However, they stated that the Campus Security Act requires the university to issue a timely warning upon receiving a report.
