UI: Pittsburgh versus Iowa Football Arrests

UI Police say 14 people were transported to the Johnson County Jail for various charges while attending Saturday's football game festivities.

Alcohol Possession Under Legal Age Citations: 7
Public Urination Citations: 1
Open Container in Public Citations: 48
Public Consumption of Liquor: 0

14 people were transported to the Johnson County Jail. The following individuals were arrested during football game day operations:

Beck, Forrest Reid, 18 of Iowa City for Public Intox at Kinnick at 10:05 a.m. Beck was told to leave for the day. Beck was observed trying to buy another ticket to enter. Beck had a strong odor of alcohol, slurred speech and refused post blood-alcohol content check.

Jaeger, Christopher Scott, 23 of Iowa City for Public Intox at Kinnick at 11:02 a.m. Jaeger stumbled through the gate and eventually fell and hit his head and scraped his hand. Jaeger admitted drinking. Blew .200 blood-alcohol content.

Kremer, Kristen Summer, 18 of Iowa City for Public Intox at Kinnick at 11:37 a.m. Kremer was passed out in bathroom stall. Kremer admitted drinking. Kremer blew .190 blood-alcohol content.

Lindquist, Mark Robert, 25 of Iowa City for Public Intox at Kinnick at 11:37 a.m. Lindquist had unsteady balance walking up the stairs. Lindquist admitted drinking whiskey since 9:00 a.m. Lindquist blew .169 blood-alcohol content.

Ballantini, Amy Lynn, 24 of Des Moines for Public Intox at Kinnick at 11:52 a.m. Ballantini was passed out in section 119. Ballantini admitted drinking; blew .183 blood-alcohol content.

Pedersen, Brett Michael, 24 of Coralville for Public Intox at Kinnick at 11:29 a.m. Pedersen was vomiting in the urinal. Pedersen smelled of alcohol. Pedersen blew .175 blood-alcohol content.

Steiger, Kyle David, 20 of Iowa City for Public Intox at Kinnick at noon. Steiger went the First Aid several times. Steiger was staggering and had slurred speech. Steiger kept falling & grabbing officers.

Steffe, Christopher Michael, 26 of Donahue, IA for Disorderly Conduct at Kinnick at 12:20 p.m. Report of a fight in section 218. Steffe admitted hitting another subject.

Erickson, Joshua David, 20 of Sioux City, IA for Public Intox at Old Capitol Mall at 12:08 p.m. Erickson was trying to enter a locked door. Erickson smelled of alcohol and had vomit on his clothing. Erickson blew .302 blood-alcohol content.

Schellhorn, Brandon Lee, 26 of Waterloo for Public Intox at Clinton/Iowa at 11:21 a.m. Schellhorn was stumbling across the street making vehicles yield to him. Schellhorn blew .222 blood-alcohol content.

Ovel, Zachary Scott, 37 of Cedar Rapids for Public Intox at Kinnick at 11:08 a.m. Ovel was observed falling over in the street. Ovel had slurred speech. Ovel blew .282 blood-alcohol content.

Whalen, Kelsey Brianne, 19 of Iowa City for Public Intox and Interference with official acts at Kinnick at 11:26 a.m. Whalen was sitting on the concourse disoriented. Whalen blew .149 blood-alcohol content. In the holding cell Whalen refused to get out of an officers way so he could do a welfare check on another prisoner.

Kuligowski, Kelsey Grace, 18 of Iowa City for Public Intox at Kinnick at 12:33 p.m. Kuligowski was reported passed out and was dry heaving in the restroom. Kuligowski had a difficulty maintaining balance. Kuligowski blew .180 blood-alcohol content.

Schleuger, Ryan John, 26 of Cumming, IA for Public Intox and Possession of a Controlled Substance at Hospital Ramp II at 2:08 p.m. Schleuger was accused of an assault. Schleuger ran from officers. Schleuger smelled of alcohol. Schleuger blew .111 blood-alcohol content. During the consent to search a rolled joint containing marijuana was found.

Vaughan, Kathryn Helen, 24 of Des Moines for Public Intox at Hospital Ramp II at 2:08 p.m. Vaughan was named as being involved in an assault. Vaughan had slurred speech and blew .085 blood-alcohol content.

Bailey, Zachary David, 32, of Marion for Public Intox at Kinnick at 1:12 p.m. Bailey was stumbling around on the concourse. Bailey admitted drinking and blew .250 blood-alcohol content.

Lammer, Kevin Dominic Jr. 21 of Cedar Falls for Theft 5th at Kinnick at 2:20 p.m.  Lammer was observed picking up a red field marker & ran across the field & handed the marker off to another subject.

A traffic safety checkpoint was conducted at Burlington and Front Streets. The Traffic Checkpoint Arrests are:

Landt, Leonard, 24 of Cedar Rapids for operating a vehicle while intoxicated at Burlington/Front at 4:36 p.m.

Cooper, Teresa, 49 of Cedar Rapids for operating a vehicle while intoxicated at Burlington/Front at 4:20 p.m.
