Iowa City Police: Bouncer Discovers Fake ID is His Own

The bouncer told police he recognized a patron's fake ID as his own driver's license.

IOWA CITY, IA -- Police say an Iowa City man tried to use a fake ID that belonged to the bouncer carding him.

Steven Fiorella, 19, is charged with 5th degree theft and unlawful use of a driver's license.

Authorities say Fiorella tried to get into Union Bar early Sunday morning. However, the bouncer at the door told police he recognized the ID Forella had as his own. Fiorella also reportedly had a debit card and an AAA card that weren't his.

The Union staffer apparently had already reported the items stolen. Fiorella reportedly told officers he purchased the items for $20 at a party.
