Michigan State versus Iowa Hawkeyes Game Day Arrests

A list of those arrested in relation to the Iowa versus Michigan State game Saturday. The following information was provided by the University of Iowa Police. It does not indicate a conviction.

FOOTBALL RELATED ARRESTS IOWA v. MICHIGAN ST

UI Police issued the following number of citations

Possession of Alcohol Under Legal Age Citations (PAULA):  10
Public Urination Citations: 2
Open Container in Public Citations:  38
Public Consumption of Liquor: 0

Seven people were transported to the Johnson County Jail. The following individuals were arrested during football game day operations:

Hagedorn, Jacob Samuel, 19 of Iowa City, IA for Possession of Fictitious License and PAULA at the 600 BLOCK of Melrose Avenue at 9:04 a.m. During a search incident to arrest a fictitious driver's license was found in Hagedorn’s wallet. Hagedorn admitted he purchased the ID online and had his name and picture on the DL. Hagedorn admitted he purchased the ID to purchase alcohol.

Holland, Sophie Jane, 20 of Iowa City, IA for Public Intox at Kinnick at 11:05 a.m.  Holland came to Gate A staggering and had extremely slurred speech & needed assistance walking. Holland refused PBT. Holland vomited in the holding area and needed medical assistance due to the amount of alcohol she had drunk.

Dykstra, Daniel Shawn, 31 of West Des Moines, IA for Public Intox at Kinnick at 11:06 a.m. Dykstra had slurred speech and smelled of an alcoholic beverage. Dykstra refused blood-alcohol test.

Folman, Jon Clinton, 35 of Iowa City, IA for Public Intox at Kinnick at 11:07 a.m. Folman was caught hiding a bottle of alcohol in his pant leg, trying to access the stadium. Folman had slurred speech and smelled of alcohol.  Folman blew .207 blood-alcohol content.

Swanson, Ian Michael, 24 of Chicago, IL for Public Intox at Kinnick at 11:10 a.m. Swanson retrieved a Red Bull from a trash can after an officer told his friend to throw it away since it’s a prohibited item in the stadium. Swanson had slurred speech and  smelled of an alcoholic beverage and admitted drinking. Swanson blew .226 blood-alcohol content.

Gillespie, Eric Jay, 36 of Urbandale, IA for Public Intox at Kinnick at 12:26 p.m. Officer observed Gillespie slumped over and vomiting. Gillespie smelled of an alcoholic beverage and had slurred speech. Gillespie could not keep his balance. Gillespie blew .265 blood-alcohol content.

Card, Ryan Dean, 34 of Rochester, MN, for Public Intox at Kinnick at 12:35 p.m. Card was seen consuming alcohol. Card had slurred speech and strong odor of an alcoholic beverage.  Refused blood-alcohol test.

Kudelas, Brian Charles, 23 of Glendale Heights, IL for Public Intox at 12:35 p.m. Kudelas was found drinking a beer in section 217. Kudelas had slurred speech and had a strong odor of ingested alcohol. Kudelas could not provide a correct date of birth. Refused blood-alcohol content test.

Kudelas, Kyle James, 20 of Iowa City, IA for Public Intox at Kinnick at 12:35 p.m. Kudelas responded to officers dealing with his brother Brian. Kudelas had slurred speechand  smelled of ingested alcohol. Kudelas refused blood-alcohol content test.
