Joe David Speller, 56, of 1000 BLOCK Cross Park Avenue Unit H, Iowa City was charged with domestic abuse assault without intent causing injury, a serious misdemeanor for an offense that allegedly occurred on September 3, at the above residence. At 8:49 p.m., police say they responded to a medical call about a woman bleeding from the head and people arguing. After being mirandized, Speller allegedly told police that after an argument, the woman had thrown him out of bed, so he went to her bed and tipped it over while she was in it. The woman fell off the bed and hit her head on the TV, causing a severe laceration. Speller had a blood-alcohol content of .209.

Tyler Lucas Konrardy, 21, of Iowa City, was charged with disorderly conduct, fighting or violent behavior, and public intoxication, both serious misdemeanors, for an offense that allegedly occurred on September 3 at 6:02 p.m. According to police, officers were called to 125 South Dubuque St. (Brother's Bar), for a fight in progress. Konrardy was being detained on the ground outside the bar by staff. The bar staff told police they saw Konrardy fighting with another man, when the staff broke up the fight and told him to leave. While the bar staff was attempting to break up another fight, Konrardy allegedly jumped on the back of one of the bouncer's and threw a punch at a staff member.

Andre T. Jackson, 27, of 1000 BlOCK of Sandusky Drive, Iowa City, was charged with domestic abuse assault without intent causing injury, a serious misdemeanor, for an offense that allegedly occurred at 9:27 p.m. on September 3 at the above address. Police were called to an address on Burns Avenue for the report of a possible domestic altercation where a man had grabbed a woman by her shirt and forced her into his vehicle. The police found the two at the Sandusky Drive address loudly arguing, and the police talked with them both before arresting Jackson. The woman had blood on her shirt, and blood was found in the kitchen of the residence. The woman also had abrasions on her face. Jackson was also charged with felony crack and marijuana possession, after officers returned to the residence at 10:00 p.m., to find packaging materials, $3,400 in cash, and more than 10 gram of marijuana and crack cocaine.

Aaron Cossio Reyes, 23, of 2100 BLOCK Riverside Drive, Iowa City, was charged with domestic abuse assault without intent causing injury for an offense that allegedly occurred on September 3 at 10:43 p.m. Police say Reyes and the allegedly abused woman have a minor child together. On the above date the woman called Reyes to ask if he wanted to go dancing with her and a female friend. Reyes, who allegedly had been drinking at his brother's house after work, came to over to the residence angry because he doesn't like the woman going out dancing with her friend. Reyes then struck the woman in the neck with his fist, grabbed her arm causing abrasions and pushed her to the ground. He then left to go back to drinking at his brother's house.

Nicholas Ray Apple, 25, of Iowa City, was charged with fourth-degree theft, a serious misdemeanor, for an offense that allegedly occurred on September 4 at 1:27 a.m. Police say at the above time employees of the Union Bar informed them that Apple had been going behind the bar and drinking from open bottles. Employees estimated that Apple had imbibed from three different bottles costing a total of $250. Apple was allegedly found displaying signs of intoxication outside the bar in the Pedestrian Mall.

Devin Andrew Dyer, 24, of Fort Dodge, was charged with assault causing bodily injury, a serious misdemeanor, for an offense that allegedly occured on September 4 at 1:58 a.m. Police arrived at 102 S. Clinton St. after being flagged down by a pedestrian who said that man had just another man and knocked him unconscious. Dyer was pointed out by several witnesses by his stocky build and blue shirt as the man who had punched the unconscious man, who was found at 100 BLOCK of Clinton Street. After being detained nearby, Dyer admitted to knocking the man out because he had been "disrespecting (Dyer's) girl." Dyer further explained to police that he had punched the man because he had been aggressively grinding on Dyer's female friend and would not stop when he was told to do so.
