Iowa City Police Blotter: September 10.

Lee Roland Carroll, 26, of Iowa City, was charged with domestic abuse assault without intent causing injury, a serious misdemeanor, for an offense that allegedly occurred on September 10 at 1:26 a.m. Police say they were called to the scene at 25 N. Burlington at a Kum and Go convenience store for a fight in progress. Police say that upon arrival police located Carroll and a female near the dumpster area. Police said a witness told them that he had seen Carroll and the woman pushing each other near the Kum and Go, when the female fell and hit the ground. The woman had a head wound that needed to be checked by paramedics. Police say the woman said she tripped after being pushed by Carroll, while Carroll told police that she tripped without him touching her. The two have lived together for approximately two years, according to police.

Peter Lawrance Emanuelli, 58, of Iowa City, was charged with child endangerment with no injury for an offense that allegedly occurred at 3:51 p.m. on August 28. Police say they were called to the intersection of Court Street and Scott Boulevard for a man who had fallen down in the street and was still lying there. Upon the arrival of emergency personal, Emanuelli was found in the grass near the street, police said. Police said Emanuelli exhibited several signs of intoxication, including slurred speech, watery eyes, and not being able to stand up. When he was taken to the hospital it was determined that he had a blood-alcohol content of .289, according to criminal complaints. After further investigation, police say they discovered that Emanuelli had been babysitting a two-year-old and a four-year-old at the time he was intoxicated. Police say the two children were with Emanuelli when he fell in the street.
