Iowa City Police Blotter: June 23-24

The following arrest information was supplied by the Iowa City Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Old Offenses

Jonathan Paul Higgerson, 26, 533 Olive Street, was charged with felony marijuana possession with intent to deliver, a drug tax-stamp violation, maintaining a residence with drugs on the premises, and possession of drug paraphernalia for an offense that allegedly occurred on April 7. At 8:40 p.m. at Higgerson's residence, police say they responded to a complaint that someone was growing marijuana at the above address. After consent was given to search the house, police say they found an active marijuana grow in the basement where Higgerson's bedroom was located. The grow contained two marijuana plants, a large tent, grow lights, temperature gauge and timer. Police say under questioning Higgerson admitted to growing marijuana.
