Iowa City Police Blotter: June 15

The following arrest information was supplied by the Iowa City Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

D Anthony Devon Money, 24, of 2020 Western Road, was charged with criminal trespass and two counts of drug possession (cocaine and marijuana), a total of a simple and two serious misdemeanors, for an offense that allegedly occurred on June 14. Police say they saw Money riding his bike in an area at 7:57 pm. he had be warned against trespassing at before. According to the criminal complaint, officers thought that Money was trespassing so they stopped him, and since they knew he had a history of weapons charges, they then searched him. The search yielded two small plastic bags of drugs, one of marijuana, the other of cocaine.

Old Offenses:

Ricky Vonkeith Mallard, 43, of 1240 Dolan Place, was charged with cocaine possession with intent to deliver, obstruction of police, driving while barred and littering -- a felony, two aggravated misdemeanors and a simple misdemeanor -- for an offense that allegedly occurred on March 28. Police say Mallard was originally supposed to be stopped by police for a brake light violation, but Mallard refused to stop, instead leading police on a brief chase while he threw three bags of what eventually was determined to be cocaine out the window before stopping at the intersection of Benton and Denbigh Drives. Police were able to recover two grams worth of the substance thrown out the window and it tested positive for cocaine.
