Iowa City Pedestrian Killed After Being Struck by Car

The accident remains under investigation at this time by the Iowa City Police.


The Iowa City Police are investigating the circumstances that led to an Iowa City man's death following an accident Saturday night.

According to an Iowa City Police press release, on Saturday night at 9:04 p.m.
at Iowa City Police, Iowa City Fire and Johnson County Ambulance responded to reports that a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle on Highway 6, between Sturgis Corner Drive and the river bridge.


Investigation up to this point has revealed that a westbound motor vehicle driven by Judith Miller, 28, of Kalona struck a pedestrian who was crossing the highway, according to the release. The pedestrian, Gregory Bowker, 52, of Iowa City, was transported to University of Hospitals and Clinics where he later died from injuries sustained in the crash.


The accident remains under investigation at this time by the Iowa City Police.
