Iowa City Man Killed in Monday Traffic Accident Near Solon

An Iowa City man was pronounced dead at the scene after his truck launched off the road and into the ditch while traveling on 180th St. NE near Solon at around 8:06 p.m. Monday night.

According to the Iowa State Patrol, Paul Ray Duwe, 40, of Iowa City was traveling north in his truck on 180 St. NE when he lost control of the vehicle entering the west ditch. At this point the vehicle collided with a field drive, sending the truck in the air, with it landing on the roof of the truck cab in the west ditch.

Emergency responded were dispatched to the scene but it was too late, and Duwe was declared dead at the scene.
