Iowa City Man Accused of Having Sex with Two Different 15-Year-Old Girls

The two assaults allegedly occurred in October and December.

An Iowa City man is facing two different charges of felony sexual abuse after he allegedly had sex with two different 15-year-old girls.

Brice Cameron Widstrom, 20, of 628 N. Linn Street has been arrested and charged with two counts of third-degree sexual abuse for the crimes, that are alleged to have taken place in October and December.

Sgt. Denise Brotherton said that while the final detectives report hasn't been submitted to her, yet, the two counts seem to stem from encounters with two different girls.

The first occurring on Oct. 23 and 24, according to the criminal complaint, was reported by a female victim at on Oct. 27. 

According to a complaint, the girl had met Widstrom at his apartment, where he gave her vodka and had sex with her despite knowing she was a 15-year-old. When police came looking for her at his residence, she hid under a pile of clothes in the bathtub, according to her account.

The second alleged encounter occurred on Dec. 17, when Widstrom picked up a girl at her residence in North Liberty. According to the criminal complaint, Widstrom and the girl then allegedly smoked real and synthetic marijuana and had sex at his residence despite him knowing she was a 15-year-old.
