Deer Carcass Causes Six Vehicle Chain Reaction Accident on Interstate 380

This story has a lesson: If you ever hit a deer on a roadway, make sure you move it yourself or have someone help you.

Why you ask?

The Iowa Highway Patrol reports that a seven vehicle collision was caused on Interstate 380 southbound near Exit 10 in Johnson County after the carcass of a recently hit deer caused motorists to evade the body, and subsequently hit each other.

The vehicle that caused the dominoes to start falling in this accident is unknown, according to the state patrol.

At least one man, Michael Lewis Stewart, 56, of Atkins was transported to St. Luke's Hospital via ground ambulance for his injuries. The other vehicles listed in the accident were not in serious of condition to require towing.
