Johnson County Attorney

It is important that we personally get involved in key races in our country where we can stop the injustice that is happening. The Johnson County Attorney's race in Iowa is one of those races. I believe that the Criminalization of Asperger Syndrome and mental illness would not be happening in Iowa City if John Zimmerman were elected. I do not believe that the over representation of minorities in the criminal justice system would continue. I do not believe he would prosecute everything that comes from the Iowa Police Department. I do not believe he will want to continue to end students lives by giving them felony convictions where it is not warranted. I believe he will offer fair alternatives to incarceration. I believe he will save Johnson county an enormous amount of money. He represents a new type of prosecutor that I hope and pray takes hold in all of our country. There are presently too many overzealous prosecutors in the nation.
