Wondwossen Anbessie, 36, died peacefully March 18, 2014 at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
Funeral Services will be held Sunday, March 23rd from 3 to 5 p.m. at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service, Iowa City. Services and burial will also be held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Memorial donations can be made out to Hewan Dejene.
Born on September 11, 1977 in Addis Ababa, the son of Tessema and Semenrsh Tesfaye Anbessie.
Wondwossen was a graduate student in chemical engineering at the University of Iowa.
Survivors include his loving wife, Segaseth "Hewan" Dejene, his extended family in Ethiopia and numerous friends in Iowa City.
