Charles L. Donham, 83, of Iowa City, passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2014 at Pioneer Park in Lone Tree Iowa.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, July 14, 2014 at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service in Iowa City. Officiating will be the Reverend John McKinstry of the First Christian Church, Iowa City. Burial will take place in the Lone Tree Cemetery with full military rites provided by the Lone Tree American Legion, Post 457.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Iowa Valley Habitat for Humanity -- 2401 Scott Boulevard, Iowa City, IA 52240 .
Charles was born on June 27, 1931 in Johnson County, the son of George S. and Glady E. (Fliss) Donham. He graduated from Iowa City High School in 1949 and Indiana Tech in Fort Wayne, Indiana with a degree in Chemical Engineering. He farmed all his life north of Lone Tree.
He is survived by his two sisters, Naomi Vermeulen of San Diego, California and Joyce Donham of Iowa City, Iowa, and several nieces and nephews.
