OK, He Won. Now What Do We Do?

The morning after the night before; Obama's won. Now what do we do? Here's a suggestion.

Last night [Nov. 6], after winning a slug fest of a presidential election, President Obama said,""The role of citizens in our democracy does not end with your vote. America’s never been about what can be done for us; it’s about what can be done by us together, through the hard and frustrating but necessary work of self- government. That’s the principle we were founded on."

So "what can be done by us"?

We need to lead. Because all signs point to little but a continuation of the partisan, mean-spirited obstructionism coming from Congress.

With a little help from the President, educating the people when he can't legislate with the Congress, and we organizing ourselves to make our support known to the constituents of the obstructionists, there may actually be both "hope" and "change."
