Let's Say Goodbye to Winter with Karl Schilling's Photograph of the Park Near Easter Lake

Karl Schilling was looking for ducks to photograph on Easter Lake when he came back through the woods in a nearby park and took the above photo. Since I love the woods and grew up with woods and mountains all around me in Seattle as a child, the photo really called to me.

I complimented Karl on his photo when he posted it on his Facebook page, and he said, "I was out trying to photograph ducks and on my way back through the park it started to snow. It was like being in the middle of an impressionistic painting. Nature set it up, [and] I just took the shot. But thank you."

Despite the beauty of the snow in the woodlands, which I will cherish in Karl's photo, let's all hope we get to see lovely springtime scenes in the near future!
