Flooding on So. Skunk River near Des Moines and the Iowa River in Iowa City Has to Be Seen to Be Believed

My husband and I drove from Iowa City to Des Moines and made a point of surveying the Iowa River going to Des Moines and back. Unbelievable flooding of City Park (all roads on east side under water) and now part of Normandy Drive (800 block). We saw about eight miles of mostly flooded farmland around the South Skunk River near Colfax on both sides of I-80 and a little flooding around the North Skunk River.
