This dog was freshly groomed in this picture, she was lost on Dec. 2,2012 when a family member died on a trip. Her coat could look brownish if she is mal nourished or dirty Her name is Stormy..... She could be anywhere....think she was left at a rest stop., owner was sick, died later, dog gone before death
Heartsick and looking Any other " Patcher's out there please share......

Wow, Northern CA is a long way from Iowa, but I'm hoping you find her! Don't give up hope, and get the word out with posters, keep in touch with people who are working in that area and area law enforcement and shelters. Dogs are often found safe, even after a very long time on the loose.

Thank you Iowa City, We are thinking if a good samaritan picked her up at a road stop she could have gone anywhere. When dogs are sighted along the roadway there is no chance the finder knows which direction the dog came from, so traditionally they take the do to where they are headed. and then seek an owner. In this case due to the circumstances there was a huge delay in the family being able to access computer records which has slowed the search... If you ever want to share with your sister papers please do.

Can the peoson who sighted the dog confirm it is NOT Stormy for us:)
Iowa City Lost Pets February 26, 2013 at 08:05 pm
Your best bet is to contact the police department about their log entry. We have no idea who reported this sighting to the police, and since the dog was not caught, the caller will not be able to confirm its identity, either. Sorry.

Thank you Iowa City.... well I guess if the person who saw the dog sees this........they would contact us. Thanks again for your courtesy..

Lilly, I go to the Iowa City Animal Shelter fairly regularly. I'll let you know if there ever is a dog that resembles your dog there.

I will remove the posts referring to my work to avoid confusion, I have left the search, and they created a new page that is a copy/cat of mine, My page was the original, and started months before the one they just put up, So Meri is correct the web page they point you to, and the email are not the same ones you have been dealing with since January. . After I left the search, our work continues on microchipping and helping to reunite pets and owners. Same people same hard work, different focus, please drop by and say hello... Oreo and former Stormy searchers http://www.facebook.com/StormyTheNewfoundlandHasRetired?skip_nax_wizard=true

I do not know why Lilly calls our Facebook page a copy cat page. Stormy's owner only wants her dog back home. She created her page for people to find updated information and to post information to help find and return her baby, as anyone would. We are concerned about the longevity of time that has passed since Stormy went missing. And Lilly (or Priscilla Walker, or Ardena Perry, or Kevin Sleuth, or Rick and Baby, or Advice from Oreo...you get the picture--we don't really know who this person is... ) dropped the search for her own personal reasons.
Unfortunately, Stormy is still out there. Please help get her home. If there is a sighting of a large black dog, with white markings, please let us know. Our new page is located at: https://www.facebook.com/stormythenewfoundlandmccallan Amy and her children really miss her! We look forward to hearing from everyone when it's appropriate! Thank you for your help, concern and prayers!

This is the original page, I am no longer helping with this search, I don't know why they made a page that looks like mine, and then worried about people being confused. Here is a link to the original page... first one created, and I created it..Gosh FB wars are so high school.. I am allowing people to access information that was gathered as a result of my page.... it's a courtesy .. I am not accepting info about the search, strictly historicial date, http://www.facebook.com/StormyIsMissing?ref=hl#!/StormyIsMissing

Priscilla/Lilly/Adrena (Whoever you are): It's HER dog! Why didn't YOU just give her admin rights in the first place? Because you don't want to give up your so-called-"creative rights"? You don't have any. Those are HER pictures. They belong to the OWNER. I could not figure out what you meant by Creative 6. Because as a PHOTOGRAPHER you would KNOW, you ALWAYS hold the rights to your pictures until you sign a release to your rights. You can do what you want, but they're NOT YOURS! You said you weren't doing the page anymore. That's why they put the page up, because they didn't KNIW you were going to challenge them again. So, take the page down already. Stormy ISN'T YOU or yours.

Penn State had much the same creed, and you see what that kind of mindless hero worship led to.

Anything in particular vexing you Maxine? I can't do much about the look but I could help in otherRead More areas.
maxine wiemer June 5, 2013 at 07:53 am
I have been off the blog since the change. For some reason I couldn't get on. When I would sign in,Read More everything would start flashing and wouldn't stop. Anyway I can't seem to find the regular group and its just confusing. I guess I will get used to it eventually or get so frustrated I give it up.
Stephen Schmidt (Editor) June 5, 2013 at 07:59 am
I can see what you're saying, it's been a bit of a culture shock for the editors as well. We'reRead More working to try to make things easier and more understandable for both regulars and newcomers. The article people seem to be arguing on at the moment is this one: http://iowacity.patch.com/groups/editors-picks/p/iowa-patch-poll-will-iowa-gop-be-able-to-recruit-a-highprofile-candidate-to-challenge-bruce-braley

While i don't support ANYTHING this group does, this isn't right. There is a cancer in the IRS. TheRead More whole organization needs to cleaned out and raise the unemployment rate.
Joe Stutler June 4, 2013 at 09:26 pm
I wouldn't mind seeing *every* group requesting not-for-profit status to be examined. That certainRead More groups are being singled out is inappropriate, whether they be anti-abortion (that's the proper term...we're all "pro-life") or pro-choice or whatever. Examine them all, to the same standards.
Maria Houser Conzemius June 4, 2013 at 01:51 pm
No. Didn't work. Okay, now I need to find the article format.
Maria Houser Conzemius June 4, 2013 at 01:55 pm
Can't find the article format. I tried.

I totally agree that "growing old isn't for sissies...its for the strong." I will be 60Read More on my next birthday and although I am not looking forward to leaving my 50's, I must admitt that each year comes with a more calming sensibility to it. I see things more clearly now even though forgetfulness is a daily occurance. The laughter of the children is much prettier and the birds chirping is welcoming instead of a nuisence at 5AM.
Stephen Schmidt (Editor) May 31, 2013 at 08:57 am
For tomorrow? I'll ask them and get back to you.
Stephen Schmidt (Editor) May 31, 2013 at 07:08 pm
As far as I know still going.
