Iowa City Women for Obama will host a kid-friendly "Morning in the Park" on Saturday, May 19, from 10:30 AM to noon at Creekside Park in Iowa City. Professional storyteller and musician Chris Vinsonhaler will entertain the kiddos while the grown-ups enjoy getting to know one another and discussing how the Obama administration is helping women and families. Information will be available about upcoming events and opportuities to get involved with the Obama campaign.
Donations will be collected for the Domestic Violence Internation Program (DVIP). Attendees are encouragted to bring items such as Play Doh, paint and paintbrushes, art paper and art supplies, or new toys for any age group.
