Old Capitol Opera is a new opera and musical theater company in Iowa City, Iowa. OCO’s main goal is to offer a collaborative experience between local professionals and enthusiastic community members. Each year, OCO will run an intensive apprentice program for soon-to-be professionals as well as talented community members. This “boot camp” involves master classes, make up tutorials, professional headshots, voice lessons, and daily choreography and chorus rehearsals.  Professional singers are involved as mentors and leading roles. This year’s educational experience will end in a fully-staged production of "Chicago" - come be a part of the best show in town!
