Winning $241 Million Powerball Ticket Bought in Cedar Rapids

Have I ever mentioned how much I love Cedar Rapids, especially its most recently rich citizens?

Alright, fess up, which one of you bought the winning Powerball ticket?

The Gazette is reporting that the winning ticket, which will set a Iowa record for a jackpot at $241 million, was purchased at a Cedar Rapids Supermarket:

Some lucky lottery player purchased the jackpot-winning ticket at Hy-Vee, 5050 Edgewood Road in Cedar Rapids. Hy-Vee will receive a $10,000 bonus from the Iowa Lottery for selling the jackpot-winning ticket.

No word yet on who the lucky winner was, so I'm hoping it was actually an Iowa City resident randomly doing some grocery shopping in northern Cedar Rapids.

It could happen, right? Better odds than winning the lottery.
