Net receipts from all state taxes increased by 11.2 percent in June and annual growth stands at a healthy 6.3 percent, according to the Iowa Legislative Services Agency.

“Recent months have shown very good growth in corporate and sales/use tax deposits and the most recent three months indicate the withholding component of individual income tax is now a significant contributor to overall revenue growth. Over recent months, the only weak revenue source has been fuel tax revenue,” the agency reported in a memo to Iowa lawmakers.
