The listening posts, which will have no more than three board members in attendance, will not have to be posted as official School Board meetings, and therefore will not be limited by the same guidelines.

“The idea is to make board members accessible so that the community can bring up any issue on their mind and bring it up in an informal setting,” Hoelscher said. “(They should realize) that none of us can speak for the board as a whole, but we can certainly accept community input and bring it back to the board.”
