Iowa Patch Poll: Will Iowa GOP Be Able to Recruit a High-Profile Candidate to Challenge Bruce Braley?

Will the Iowa GOP recruit a big name candidate to take on Bruce Braley? Do they need to?

*Editor's Note: With our new site relaunch this week we do not have poll functionality, so answers to the questions below will have to be given in the comments below. Thanks.

The 2014 U.S. Senatorial race should be a hotly contested one in Iowa, as Iowa Republicans vie to wrestle away a senate seat away from what has long been under control of Tom Harkin, an influential senator who is stepping down with this term.

The question for this week is, will Republicans be able to recruit a high-profile challenger to take on heir apparent Bruce Braley? A candidate who is giving up his U.S. House seat to run for the Senate, is on a fundraising tear, and has already been endorsed by the departing Harkin. Or does such a challenger need to be high profile? Tell us below in comments.

Heavyweight candidates Steve King and, this past week, Matt Schultz, have dropped out of the running. But former U.S. District Attorney Matt Whitaker threw his hat into the ring with those are running. What do you think of the Braley challengers so far?
