Drew Ivers, the Iowa campaign chairman for U.S. Rep. Ron Paul’s campaign, said staffers likely will simply call police if protesters need to be removed from campaign headquarters.

“That’s how we’re going to handle it: It’s trespassing,” Ivers said.

Occupy Des Moines has put out a national call for protesters to join in sit-ins at campaign headquarters the week before the caucuses. But movement members stressed again Monday that they have no intention of shutting down voting and that their planned sit-ins are separate from the possible activities of the Anonymous movement.

“In my view this Anonymous video is a distraction from what we think is important,” said Aaron Jorgensen-Briggs, an Occupy Des Moines participant.
