Vanessa Miller of the Gazette writes that bootlegging charges against an Iowa City real estate agent have been dismissed after he pleaded guilty to lesser charges.

The new left turn signals — which will be implemented throughout the state as agencies upgrade their traffic signals or work to make improvements at dangerous intersections — will now include a flashing yellow arrow that tells a driver when to yield to traffic

“There was always the issue with people misunderstanding the green solid signal so this flashing yellow indicates something is going to change so you should be alert,” said Cathy Cutler, a transportation planner with the Iowa Department of Transportation. “And it seems very intuitive to motorists so that’s why we haven’t had any issues with the one that’s been up and running (in Iowa City) for awhile.”
